Classically trained artist John Seibels Walker is offering a workshop on the traditional methods, materials, and principles of atelier training with insights into how this information can guide an artist into having an easy process to employ in his own further study and studio work. Partcipants will learn how to properly stage and light still life and figures in a studio setting using natural light most effectively to see form, color, and tonal relationships. There will be instruction in the sight-size method demonstrating it as a tool for learning how to see and critique oneself, thereby pushing the eye and hand to ever higher levels of accomplishment.
