An Angel in our Midst

Ellie Potvin was a beautiful 8-year-old girl who loved her twin sister Grace, Girl Scouts, Taylor Swift and Art.  On June 23, 2010, Ellie gained her angel wings after a two-year fight with Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare childhood cancer.

On December 14, 2009, Ellie Potvin and her mom visited the Southend studio of Anne Neilson for a lesson in oil painting and some time at the easel.  (slide show of Ellie in studio)  The Potvins have returned to the studio many times since and Anne developed a close friendship with this incredible family.

Four of the many paintings Ellie has created have been made into fine art giclée prints (courtesy of Chromatype) and are for sale here and in Charlotte at Studio 21 Fine Art (118 E Kingston Ave).  Also available are notecards featuring a painting by Ellie's sister Grace.  100% of proceeds will benefit the "Lift Up Ellie Fund" a supplemental needs trust.
