Art Show at Studio21 to Honor Ellie

Studio 21 Fine Art, a beautiful gallery down the hall from Anne's studio, is hosting a group art show on Friday, February 5, 6-9pm for the SouthEnd Gallery Crawl.  Paintings by Ellie Potvin, the inspiring 8-year-old artist that visited Anne's studio for a recent art lesson, will be on display and giclee prints of her work will be for sale.  Studio 21 will also be selling note cards featuring Ellie's paintings and pink wristbands imrinted with "I *heart* Ellie Art". 

Ellie has Stage 4 Relapse Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare childhood cancer, and 100% of the proceeds from print, note card and wristband sales will be donated to "Lift Up Ellie", her supplemental needs trust.

Studio 21, all decked out in pink for the night (Ellie's favorite color), will also be donating a portion of other work sold that night to Ellie's fund.  118 E Kingston Ave, Charlotte

Meet Ellie Potvin

I had the privilege of having 8-year-old Artist Ellie Potvin and her mother Amy in the studio on Dec 14 for an oil painting lesson and a few fun hours at the easel.  Ellie is a beautiful, creative girl suffering from Stage 4 Relapse Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare childhood cancer.  I have been following Ellie through her CaringBridge website and have been praying for the Potvin Family. 

Two of Ellie's paintings have been reproduced as limited edition high quality giclee prints (courtesy of Chromatype) are available online at anneneilsonfinart.com and in Charlotte at Studio 21 Fine Art (118 E Kingston Avenue) and my local gallery Sophia's Gallery (1528 East Blvd).  We look forward to offering additional prints soon -- she revisits the studio for another session this week!
